Who we’re looking for

A passionate and process driven IT Security specialist who’ll be responsible for improving and maintaining operational activities with regards to HCML’s information security and cyber security controls framework.

The role

This role offers lots of variety, and will give you the opportunity to:

  • Provide updates to the IT team on threat landscape and emerging issues
  • Maintain & monitor robust LAN, WLAN and WAN physical and logical security
  • Maintain & monitor vulnerability management processes and perform regular patch management activities
  • Configure, monitor & maintain inbound (IDS/IPS/AntiSpam) and outbound (web filtering, web policies) security on HCML’s firewalls and mail-scanning solutions, liaising with third party providers where required
  • Support Lead IT Support Analyst in ensuring coverage and effectiveness of antivirus and patching
  • Occasionally assist with facilities, support and infrastructure tasks
  • Support software release process, reviewing / flagging potential IT security issues prior to release

About you
In order to be considered for this role you will have:

  • Broad understanding of network security principles
  • Experience in an IT support role with some IT security focus or experience
  • Strong experience with Windows & TCP/IP Networking, Group Policy. Knowledge of MS Azure/365 security policies is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of ISO27001 and GDPR
  • Experience implementing IT security solutions
