Major Incident Response Service (MIRS)

Dedicated onsite and remote support in the event of a major incident.

In the event of a major incident, we provide tailored support, practical advice, treatment and case management services.

A major incident could occur as a result of a high impact accident in the workplace that affects the whole workforce or a major part of it. Or it could be a specific incident that results in the serious injury of members of the public.

Our team acts quickly to mobilise a dedicated Major Incident Response Service (MIRS) overseen by our in-house Medical Director. In collaboration with you, they will design and implement a bespoke response specific to the nature of the incident and subsequent rehabilitation requirements. Services delivered as part of the bespoke response can include:

  • Dedicated helpline offering one-to-one advice, guidance and support for those involved and affected by the incident.
  • Onsite presence and drop-in sessions, including psychological debriefing.
  • Signposting to relevant treatment services.
  • Treatment services such as:
  • psychotherapy, including counselling, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EDMR)
  • physiotherapy for musculoskeletal (MSK) injuries
  • consultations, diagnostics and surgery.
  • Case management services for people who have sustained serious and traumatic injuries, such as brain injury, amputation, spinal cord injury and other complex, multi-site injuries.
