New ‘heads of’ personal injury
This year, we saw a change in leadership for our rehabilitation case management services. Ian Waters, previously Director of Personal Injury Operations, stepped into a companywide role as Chief Group Operations Officer, supporting the overall growth of HCML operations across all its service divisions.
This change and the growth of our case management services meant that the business needed to expand its leadership team.
Kate Barton is now Head of Personal Injury Service Development. Kate is a paramedic by background with a degree in Pharmacology. Kate has been with HCML for eight years having joined initially as a Rehabilitation Case Manager in Personal Injury and more recently as the Clinical Operations Manager and operational lead for Amputee and Brain Injury services.
Steve Barker is Head of Personal Injury Operations. Steve is an occupational therapist by background with over 25 years of clinical and rehabilitation experience. He has managed wards in a wide variety of areas and been operationally responsible for an outpatient service. Prior to his promotion he was a specialist rehabilitation case manager at HCML, specifically supporting those who have experienced brain injury and major limb amputation.
