Meet our Executive Team

At HCML, our executive team brings together deep clinical expertise, operational excellence and a shared commitment to improving outcomes for the people and organisations we support. James Murray

Chief Executive Officer

James is an experienced healthcare and business leader with more than 20 years in senior roles across health, wellbeing, pharmacy, operations and commercial strategy. He became CEO of HCML in September 2024, bringing strong operational leadership and a clear focus on client outcomes.

Originally trained as a pharmacist, James has held senior roles including Executive Board member at Nuffield Health and Chief Commercial Officer. His career spans service transformation, operational improvement and customer-focused delivery across complex healthcare environments.

At HCML, James leads the organisation through growth, diversification and continued improvement in the quality and impact of the services we provide.

Jill Pritchard

Chief Commercial Officer

Jill is a commercial and healthcare leader with a clinical pharmacist background and senior experience across the NHS and independent sector. She has a strong track record in developing care pathways that improve access, strengthen outcomes and support service innovation.

At HCML, Jill leads the commercial development of solutions across wellbeing, employee health and integrated support. She combines clinical understanding with commercial insight to help drive sustainable growth and measurable results.

Jill is also a recognised voice in workplace wellbeing, speaking at summits and sector events on employee engagement, organisational health and the changing needs of employers.

Vish Buldawoo

Chief Operations Officer

Vish is an experienced operational leader with a strong background in corporate wellbeing, workforce health and service delivery. As Chief Operating Officer, he leads HCML’s operational strategy, portfolio delivery and continued service development across health and wellbeing.

Before joining HCML, Vish held senior leadership roles at Centrica, including responsibility for Group Benefits, Pensions and Health & Wellbeing, and chairing the Centrica Healthcare Trust. He also led HCML’s Corporate Health & Wellbeing business before becoming COO.

At HCML, Vish focuses on operational excellence, scalable delivery and helping clients realise the value of integrated health and wellbeing services.

Marc Holl

Chief Quality Officer

Marc is an experienced clinician and healthcare leader with postgraduate qualifications in musculoskeletal, mental health and occupational health and safety. With more than 20 years’ experience across the NHS and independent sector, he has held senior roles spanning clinical practice, service leadership and quality oversight.

Before joining HCML, Marc spent 10 years at IPRS Health and later held senior leadership roles at Nuffield Health. His experience includes governance, quality assurance, workforce development and the leadership of multidisciplinary clinical services.

At HCML, Marc leads quality across clinical services, helping ensure safe, effective and consistently high standards of care for clients and the people they support.

Rory Webster

Chief Financial Officer

Rory is an experienced finance leader with a strong track record across high-growth and transformation-focused organisations. He joined HCML as Chief Financial Officer in June 2024, bringing deep expertise in financial leadership, M&A, strategic planning and commercial analysis.

Before joining HCML, Rory held CFO roles at Vendigital and Four Eyes Insight, building broad experience across healthcare and education within private equity-backed businesses. His background combines financial discipline with a clear understanding of growth and organisational change.

At HCML, Rory leads the financial strategy of the business, supporting sustainable growth, strong performance and informed decision-making across the organisation.

Debbie Downham

Director of Clinical Governance and Health & Safety

Debbie is a Registered General Nurse with a background in acute nursing and more than 20 years’ experience in occupational health. She holds a master’s degree in Occupational Health Policy and Practice, with expertise across strategy, evidence-based practice and governance.

As Director of Clinical Governance and Health & Safety, Debbie leads HCML’s regulatory compliance, risk management and clinical assurance frameworks. She also chairs the Quality Committee, supporting continuous improvement and a strong culture of accountability across the business.

Her leadership helps ensure services are delivered safely, effectively and in line with changing regulatory and professional expectations.

Sarah Marsh

Clinical & Quality Assurance Manager
Sarah is an experienced HCPC-registered Physiotherapist with more than 20 years’ experience across healthcare settings in the UK and Australia. Her background includes NHS, private practice, insurance services and complex case management, with specialist expertise in musculoskeletal care and quality-led service delivery.
 
At HCML, Sarah leads clinical and quality assurance work across the business-wide framework, supporting robust scrutiny, regulatory compliance and evidence-based practice. She also plays a key role in service development and continuous improvement.
 
With a strong focus on consistency and quality, Sarah helps ensure clinical services are informed by insight, best practice and a clear commitment to better outcomes.

Kate Barton

Head of Personal Injury Service Development

Kate is an HCPC-registered Paramedic with a strong track record in healthcare leadership and service innovation. Since joining HCML in 2015 as a Case Manager, she has progressed through operations to become Head of Personal Injury Service Development in 2023.

In her current role, Kate leads strategic development, service design and the growth of programmes that strengthen clinical capability across the personal injury service. She also contributes to training, supervision and quality-led improvement across the team.

Kate’s background in case management, rehabilitation and coaching helps her shape services that are practical, responsive and aligned with organisational goals.
