Personal Injury & Clinical Negligence

Person-centred care that supports independence and wellbeing

Personalised, consistent care at home and in the community – from ad hoc daily support to 24-hour teams.

Care that gives people confidence, stability and the support they need to live well

When it comes to complex care needs, the right support removes uncertainty and restores control. Our care services provide dependable, person-centred assistance at home and in the community – led by experienced teams who understand the realities of catastrophic or life-changing injury and long-term health conditions.

Care shaped around the individual

We shape every care package around the person — their goals, routines and what matters most to them. Guided by strong clinical expertise, our clinical case managers and care teams tailor support to help individuals maintain the best possible health and stability. This approach not only protects long-term wellbeing but also helps people preserve a sense of identity and continuity in their lives, supporting meaningful outcomes over the long term.

For individuals, this means practical help delivered with dignity to achieve the best quality of life possible. For referrers, it means clear governance, consistent communication and a trusted partner who ensures the right support is arranged and managed responsibly within the funding in place.

Specialist expertise for exceptional care

Our care services are delivered by ILS Case Management and CA Case Management – CQC registered providers and part of HCML.

Together, we create care that supports independence, protects wellbeing and strengthens quality of life.

How our care teams provide support

We design and manage bespoke care packages for people of all ages with complex needs. Support may involve a single personal assistant or a full 24-hour team. Every support worker is recruited to match the individual’s lifestyle, communication needs and preferred way of living because the right fit builds trust, continuity and long-term stability.

Daily routines and personal care

We help individuals manage activities of daily living (ADLs) including personal hygiene, dressing, continence and other essential routines with respect and sensitivity.

Mobility and safe handling

We apply personalised moving and handling plans, including hoist use, to keep people safe and confident at home.

Nutrition and medication management

We help prepare meals, monitor nutrition and support PEG or enteral feeding when required, and administer and monitor medication to ensure day-to-day health needs are met consistently.

Rehabilitation and therapy

Our teams help individuals with exercises set by physiotherapists, occupational therapists or speech and language therapists, to support continued movement towards independence.

Emotional wellbeing and psychological support

We offer support, reassurance and cognitive engagement, to improve emotional wellbeing, memory and communication, recognising that emotional resilience is a core component of effective long-term care.

Community access

We enable meaningful activity – whether that’s attending appointments, reconnecting with interests or joining local groups – to help maintain independence, confidence and social connection.

Finance and housing

We support clients with benefit applications and help secure suitable, adapted housing to support their ongoing health and wellbeing needs.

Care for complex health needs

We provide clinical expertise to support bowel and bladder routines, pain management, respiratory care (including tracheostomy management), ensuring the wellbeing and safety of each person we support.

How we deliver safe, effective care

Our case managers and care teams deliver safe, effective care by combining clinical expertise, the right people and strong clinical governance, with a clear focus on what matters most to the individual.

We understand what matters most

By working closely with the individual, their family and their wider support network, we understand what they value, enjoy, and want to regain. This helps us shape a care plan that feels realistic, purposeful and aligned with their priorities to drive strong engagement and better long-term outcomes.

We recruit the right people

Our case managers oversee the recruitment, training and supervision of the care team, so that every support worker is selected and supported to be the best clinical and personal fit for the individual.

We set strong clinical governance foundations

Our wider dedicated clinical network of registered nurses, clinical specialists and healthcare professionals provides guidance and works alongside our case managers ensuring decisions are safe, evidence-based and adhere to high standards of professional practice.

We provide clear, accountable reporting

We provide clear, timely and decision-ready reporting that keeps partners informed and ensures safe, well-governed care. Structured assessments, concise progress updates and early escalation of concerns allow us to demonstrate outcomes, respond quickly to changing needs and maintain full accountability across every care package.

We’re there for the family

The impact of complex injury is often life changing for the person’s family and friends too. They will often need to adopt a different role and adapt to living with someone who can no longer fulfil the role they played prior to injury – whether it be at work, at home, socially or in the community. We guide families through the process and help them to access the support they need too, so they can best support their loved ones.

Why choose HCML: Care with compassion

Our care teams combine human understanding with clinical expertise, backed by strong governanceto deliver care that meets fundamental health needs and empowers the individual.

Combining care with clinical leadership

Specialist oversight, structured risk management and evidencebased decision making ensures individuals receive the highest standards of care and gives referrers the confidence that care is clinically sound, not just operationally delivered.

The right team for the individual

We recruit specifically for the individual to ensure the clinical skills and personality of the support worker are an excellent match for the needs, values and preferred lifestyle of the person needing care. It’s why many of our teams stay with the same individual for years.

We prioritise meaningful activity, identity and independence

Our focus is broader than personal care. We help individuals reconnect with interests, community life, education and work—because meaningful goals strengthen wellbeing and long-term progress.

Specialist recruitment for specialist care

Dedicated HR and payroll support ensures expert recruitment and onboarding of support workers, so our care teams are compliant, consistent and well managed to ensure full support for those we care for.

We provide continuity

We support recruitment, clinical guidance, governance, documentation, reporting, HR, payroll and ongoing service improvement. This means referrers get one accountable partner, not multiple disconnected services.

Regulated Care
