Triage & treatment: simple and effective access to physiotherapy and psychotherapy treatment
Getting the right treatment for OIC and fast-track personal injury claims is quick and effortless with our triage and treatment services. We offer a range of ways to access physiotherapy or psychological treatment that is convenient for both you and the claimant.
Digital and telephonic physiotherapy and psychotherapy services
Our digital and telephonic services combine referral, assessment, treatment, recovery progress reporting and outcome measures in a simple online journey.
Automated referral
Referrals are made through a dedicated customer portal, via integration with your own systems, or by email. Once a referral is received, the claimant automatically receives a unique link to begin their treatment.
You can pre-approve treatment sessions so once the referral is made, there’s nothing else you need to do – we’ll take it from there.
Digital assessment
Claimants can access the assessment 24/7 365 days a year. Our bespoke assessment enables the injured person to provide comprehensive details of their symptoms. We also offer telephonic triage services, delivered by a clinician.
Recommendations
The claimant is presented with an appropriate recommendation which may include:
- self-help exercises
- online treatment sessions and support
- face-to-face treatment sessions.
You will also automatically receive a Rehab Code 2015-compliant triage report detailing assessment findings and treatment recommendations.
Arranging and attending treatment
If physiotherapy is recommended, claimants can choose and book appointments online at one of HCML’s 1,000 clinically governed clinics. They can:
- view appointment details
- access videos of their prescribed physiotherapy exercises
- contact their HCML case manager.
Outcomes and reporting
HCML oversees the treatment programme and provides a report once the claimant has completed treatment, so you have a clear visibility of progress and outcomes.

There’s no requirement for integration to implement and access the service, meaning no interruption to the claims process. The platform is simple: make a referral and we’ll manage the rest.
